As reported by Commander Kucik: “There was a shooting last night that occurred in the 400 block of Q Street. The victim suffered a non-life threatening wound and was immediately driven to the hospital by friends.  Initially, it took some time to locate the exact crime scene because the victim had not reported it and left the scene.  I have recently stepped up deployment in the area, especially south of the location in the 1200 block of 5th Street since that is where we have been having some issues.  In fact Yesterday, I ran 2 traffic safety compliance check points in the 1200 block of 5th Street, as there have been complaints of motorcycles and vehicles speeding in the area.  There has been no arrest in the case.”
