Good Afternoon All:

We have two items which require attention:

1.  Best One Liquor, at 322 Florida Avenue, N.W., has applied for a license renewal.  The hearing is on the renewal application is scheduled for May 21, 2012 and we have until May 7, 2012 to file any petition opposing the renewal.  See the attached Public Notice and if you have know of any reason Best One Liquor’s license to sell alcohol should not be renewed, please let me know right away so the ANC can act on this at it next meeting on April 17, 2012. Best One Liquor Renewal

2.  The owner of the narrow vacant lot next to 1416 3rd Street, N.W., has applied to the Board of Zoning Adjustments for a variance to allow the construction of a two unit residence on a 14 foot wide lot (the law normally requires 18 feet to build).  See the attached selected pages from the petition package and let me know if you have any objection.  ANC5C is entitled to be heard if our residents have any concerns about this request. Thanks.
