(Washington, D.C.) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) mailed out more than 71,000 new visitor passes during the month of July, through the Visitor Parking Pass (VPP) program. The new passes are valid through September 30, 2013.

Visitor passes were issued to residents in the following areas:· Ward 1: all residential blocks in Advisory Neighborhood Commissions 1A, 1B and 1C and all Residential Permit Parking (RPP) blocks in ANC 1D

  • · Ward 2:all RPP blocks in the immediate vicinity around the Howard Theater in ANC 2C bounded by:

    • o New Jersey Avenue, NW (east)
    • o P Street, NW (south)
    • o 11th Street, NW (west)

    • o 9th Street, SW (west)

In a few cases, you may not have received a pass because DDOT does not have your address on file. If you live in one of these areas but did not receive a Visitor Parking Pass please call 202.673.6813 between 8:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, to request a pass. If you are eligible, DDOT will mail a pass to your address.

More information about the Visitor Parking Pass program is available online at ddot.dc.gov/DC/DDOT/Services/Parking+Services/Visitor+Parking+Passes/Visitor+Parking+Passes.

Please Note: District residents who receive the passes cannot use them in lieu of registering their vehicles with the District Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). If residents receiving passes have guests that stay overnight regularly, then the visitor must register their vehicle through the Registration of Out of State Automobile (ROSA) program once a Warning Citation is issued by DPW parking enforcement personnel.
