Arrest Made in the Cab Driver Robbery at 4th and Evarts Streets, NE
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have announced that an arrest has been made in the robbery of a cab driver that occurred at 4th and Evarts Streets, NE.
On Thursday, August 30, 2012, at approximately 11:15 pm units from the Fifth District responded to 4th andEvarts Streets, NE, for the report of a cab robbery. Upon arriving on the scene, officers interviewed the victim, who reported that two males had just robbed him.
Fifth District officers spotted two suspects matching the description in the robbery, chased and caught the suspects who were identified as 19 year-old Miguel Demonis of Northeast, DC, and a 15 year-old juvenile male of Northeast, DC. They were arrested on and charged with Robbery Fear.
Detectives are currently investigating whether these suspects are involved in other crimes.
