***TRAFFIC ADVISORY***

Northbound 14th Street Bridge Saturday Lane Closure

Northbound Access on the 14th Street Bridge will be Kept Open

(Washington, D.C.) The right lane of the northbound 14th Street Bridge will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8. The closure will start on the Virginia side 200 feet before the Operator’s Tower.

  • Motorists entering from northbound GW Parkway will need to merge left almost immediately.

This lane closure is to allow safe access to the Operator’s Tower for the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities (DCAH). DCAH sponsored a competition to enhance the Operator’s Tower and selected artist Mikyoung Kim’s kaleidoscope design now treating inbound drivers to a colorful welcome to D.C.

All drivers are urged to use extra caution and stay alert.
