Town Hall Meeting This Thursday!
Greetings Community Partners!
We are writing to let you know about our upcoming Faith-Based Town Hall meeting scheduled on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Israel Baptist Church, located at 1251 Saratoga Ave, NE. This meeting is open to everyone in the community. Our goal is to encourage people to stand up for justice because we cannot keep our communities safe without your help. We will have a very distinguished panel to address any concerns or questions community members may have about how the criminal justice system works, protection and resources available to witness and victims of crime, and how the 5th district police department works to investigate crimes. The panel will include U.S. Attorney Ron Machen, Metropolitan Police Department 5th District Commander Andy Solberg, Chief of the USAO Victim/Witness Unit Jelahn Stewart, and Chief of the Office of the Attorney General’s Juvenile Division Jennifer White, among others.
We are attaching a flyer to this message that has the details about the event. We are hoping for a great turnout from our 5th District community. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
Warmest regards,
Jami & Monica
