    From Eckington list: I’m not sure whether he’s taking on any new clients, but I highly recommend Lloyd. They’ve done our front and year yards for nearly 8 years. He’s great to work with, and his staff is friendly and professional.

      Bates Area Neighbors;
      I just wanted to Highly Recommend – Tom Noll- a true Landscape Artist (and sculptor) who moved to the Bloomingdale Area about a year ago and has been quietly and creatively being working his both Practical, Magical, Zen like Whimpsical Gardens with the right Feng Shui all around Bloomingdale.
      Take a look at his Redo of our nice park at the corners of Rhode Island Avenue, First and T Streets NW, that welcomes everyone into “Our Bloomingdales”…. a creative and easy to maintain landscaping he did there on his own initiative and money. Great use of rocks in his designs which also protects the garden. And to TOP it All he decorated it on his own for Halloween and will for the Holidays….this is a great view for both Diton’s Taverna Rustica, the DryCleaners and the Bloomingdales Licor Store.
      I am a neighbor of his on T Street, and having admired his front yard at 23 T Street, I hired him to do mine, as did other neighbors close by. NOW we have 5 magical front yards done by him and displaying his fun sculptures for others to buy (it was my suggestion as I like them a lot and they are reasonable).
      Check out his own holiday decorations at his home at 23 T Street NW. Does great inspired Xmas tree and home decorations.
      He has done the landscaping and is doing the maintenance at the striking condo building on the corner of Rhode Island Ave and North Capitol NW and a few other neighboring front gardens. They all highly recommend him also.
      He is a talented Landscape Artist and Display/Decorator of interiors and exteriors, an avid gardner, who will also help you maintain your yard, change out the seasonal flowers, also can help decorate your home and front gardens for the upcoming holidays.
      I find him very personable, honest, hard working, with reasonable fees, he will also go and pick up with you or for you the plants that are agreed upon.
      You can reach Tom for your Landscaping and Holiday Decorating needs directly:

        Just wanted to drop a quick note about a new(ish) Bloomingdale resident that is a great resource for us – Tom Noll, Landscaper & Interior Design.

        You’ve seen his work @ 23 T and around the neighborhood – the Halloween installation at RI, 1st and T, by Rustik was fabulous and what finally motivated me to call.

        He’s been doing some work on my yard (about 4 blocks away), and I can’t say enough good. Tom’s incredibly hard working and gets results fast – his vision is amazing & he makes efficient changes that make an instant impact. Some small adjustments and all of a sudden, space opens up, changes the line of vision and completely changes the relationship to space!

        He’s made the neighborhood so much more beautiful. I wouldn’t have even thought about making upgrades to our yard (or that it would be feasible) if I hadn’t seen his work on my walks through the neighborhood. Also, like many residents, I’m working on a budget. And Tom really took that to heart and found ways to beautify that work within my budget (viewing it as a challenge rather than a limitation) — I can’t think of any way to improve upon the experience I’ve had.

        So, in this giving season, I just wanted to see if you’d share my thoughts – from a neighbor, about a neighbor who may be able to help other neighbors continue to beautify Bloomingdale/Eckington/Edgewood and beyond.

        I wanted to recommend him for both the website and for any ongoing work – I think there are some projects being considered nearby at Truxton Circle and in Eckington. If there is anything I can do to further recommend him or support his work with ongoing neighborhood projects, please feel free to contact me.

        Tom’s contact information is as follows:
