Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
(WASHINGTON, DC) – The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with a SunTrust bank robbery. Members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation worked together with MPD to make the arrest.
At approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, the investigation led
officers to a residence in the 300 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NE.
The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Bruce Higgins, of the
4400 block of Galesbury Lane in Chantilly, Va. He faces charges of Bank
Robbery in connection with the SunTrust robbery that occurred on
February 24, 2009 in the 400 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NE and
Fugitive from Justice for an outstanding arrest warrant for a Virginia
bank robbery.
I know that when I rob banks, I usually try to hide out at least 2 blocks from the bank I robbed.
But that is so obvious. I think there was some level of intellect in hiding close. Alas DC police were one step ahead of him.
