In keeping with Earth Month, all local Ace Hardware stores are now recycling batteries and light bulbs. That’s kinda cool.
Our stores are now recycling all lightbulbs and these batteries:
* Alkaline Batteries including AAA, AA, A, C, D & 9 volt
* Lithium Batteries
* Lithium Ion Batteries
* Mercury & Mercuric Oxide Batteries
* Nickel Cadmium (NiCad) Batteries including wet and dry types
* Nickel Metal Hydride & Nickel Iron Batteries

Funny thing, I frequent the 5th Street Ace hardware and I got some of those batteries listed ready to be recycled. Saved me a drive to the Ft Totten Transfer Station.
