Grant Proposals
Grant Proposal request from the following organizations were heard and/or approved:
- Bloomingdale Civic Association – grant application for $8,000 was reviewed. ANC decided to table the vote on the grant given the association’s history of not spending grant money. ANC is also considering and will be discussing recommendations made by the OIG to limit the amount of the grants possibly to $2,000 and to set time limits as to when the money should be spent.
- All Saints Church (N. Capitol ST NE) received a grant for a little over $1,800. Grant is to sponsor a youth gardening club. Youths will receive gardening materials and provided seeds to plan vegetables and other plants.
- 2 other grant proposals were heard. Both proposals were for summer youth programs. I don’t recall the organizations.
