I was out with Jennifer R. today looking at parks, and she pointed out the Westminster Park on Westminster St. between S and T Streets NW, near 9th Street (picture below). It’s a great space, with a great mural. So I emailed my college alum, Shepard Fairey (you know, the genius behind the Obama posters) to see if he’d be interested in creating something for the billboard space.
I may be dreaming, but shucks, it’s worth a try.
(P.S. come to the next BACA meeting on July 13th @ 7:00 PM to brainstorm ideas for the lot!)

Yeah, if we did a mural, we’d definitely need to get buy in from the whole neighborhood on the design.
