Neighbors,
Pete has done a tremendous amount of work for the upcoming clean-up on Oct 24. (Pete says formal announcement is coming.) He is requesting city support as well as applying for grants. We want to beautify treebox, get neighbors to sponsor them, get funds to paint lightposts and eventually get some hanging flowers on those posts
People, please volunteer to identify problem areas on your blocks that we will want to focus on during the clean up day.
And please let us know how we can bribe you to help that day: If we promise free beer? Bbq sandwich? Cupcakes? What if we scale these back to a quarterly clean up with more significant projects in mind? What if we involved school groups. What will it take to get YOU out? The same few folks get out there everytime and it’d be a lot funner and faster with more folks.
We know the enthusiasm has been low for the clean ups. And we don’t want to annoy folks. How can we get your buy in?
