Word from the last BACA meeting was that Mayor Fenty was supposed to be walking through the neighborhood again on Monday November 9, but it has apparently been canceled. The mayor notified Jim Berry that it would be postponed. The new date, according to Richard Norwood from the mayor’s office, is November 17th at 9:30 am.
The walk through is supposed to focus on the parks at NY Ave and 1st and Florida Ave and 1st. These were a topic of concern at the BACA meeting when the Mayor spoke at BACA, though that meeting predominantly focused on JF Cook School.
