Thanksgiving Week —- TWO MORE ROBBERIES CLOSED WITH ARREST
On November 25, 2009, Fifth District officers were dispatched to the corner of 10th and Michigan Ave. NE. Once on the scene officers learned that several subjects approached the complainant at the location. One of the suspects approached C-1 and asked him for money, while the complainant handed the suspect coins, the suspect then snatched the complainants food and personal items and fled the scene on foot. Officers canvassed the area and were able to locate one of the suspects. The suspect was positively identified and charged with robbery fear.
On November 29, 2009, Fifth District officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of New York Avenue NE. Once on the scene, officers learned that a male suspect approached the complainant at the location. The suspect demanded and took money from the complainant and proceeded to strike him with a cane. Units canvassed the area and were able to locate the suspect. The suspect was positively identified and charged with robbery force and violence.
