Thomas Applauds Graham’s Decision to Hold Hearings on Snow Removal

Washington, DC-Ward 5 Councilmember Harry “Tommy” Thomas, Jr. today applauded the decision of his colleague, Ward 1 Councilmember Jim Graham, who heads the Committee on Public Works and Transportation, to hold two hearings on the city’s response to recent snowstorms.

The purpose of the hearings is to determine what the city did well during the December 19th blizzard and why the response to the storms of February 2010 was different.

The hearings will be held: Friday, February 26, 11:00 am in the Wilson Building Council Chamber; and Wednesday, March 10, 1:00 pm in Room 123 of the Wilson Building. Persons that wish to testify or send testimony should contact the Committee Office at 724.8195 or email ahawkinsmason@dccouncil.us.

He sits on four additional committees: Workforce Development and the Environment, Aging and Community Affairs, Housing and Workforce Development, and Public Services and Consumer Affairs.
