Better Nutrition Workshop at Northwest One Library

Achieving Better Nutrition: What Fad Diets Won’t Tell You!

Lots of people, including older Washingtonians, are concerned about eating better to be more fit. Unfortunately, too many people find themselves taking advice from people more concerned with marketing rather than providing sound advice. That’s good for sales, but often not for the health of those who bought the program.

The Northwest One Neighborhood Library and Providence Hospital are staging a Nutrition Awareness Workshop on Wednesday, April 7th at 11 AM.

Melissa Miller, Clinical Dietitian with Providence Hospital , will discuss how to eat better and healthier, and will answer your questions about how to eat better. She will examine:

Does good eating mean good tasting foods must be sacrificed?

What is a truly balanced diet?

What factors should determine what you eat?

Older Washingtonians are especially welcome and Ms. Miller will look at the specific nutritional concerns of the old and young.

All are welcome.

The Northwest One Neighborhood Library is located at 155 L Street, NW — right off of New Jersey Avenue, NW — in the same building that houses the Walker Jones Education Campus ( 1025 New Jersey Avenue, NW ). The library is close to the Union Station (Red) and Mt. Vernon Square/Convention Center (Green/Yellow) Metro stations.
