Over the past year, Bread for the City has worked to expand our gleaning program to provide fresh, local produce to our clients. A last minute cancellation has left us searching for volunteers for our gleaning event on Saturday July 17th. Come join us in the fields; pick corn with your own hands and help link hungry people to this untapped resource of excess food. We will be traveling to Parker Farms in Colonial Beach, VA so individuals with a car are needed but anyone who wants to help is welcome. The event will last from 9am to 2pm including driving time.
