September BACA Elections

Dear Neighbors,

On September 13, 2010, the BACA will conduct an election for the Offices of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Association. In addition, four (4) At-large representatives will be elected to the Executive Committee at that time.

Persons who are eligible to be nominated for any of these offices must be active members of the civic association in good standing (i.e., dues current) and must have attended a minimum of five (5) monthly meetings during this calendar year.

Similarly, persons who are eligible to vote in the election must be active members of the civic association in good standing (i.e., dues current), and must have attended a minimum of three (3) monthly meetings during this calendar year.

Associate Members, i.e., those who do not live within the following boundaries, North Capitol St, NW; New Jersey Ave, NW; Florida Ave, NW; and P St, NW, are not eligible to participate in the election of officers.

Nominating Process:
The Nominating Committee will continue to receive nominations for the above positions until July 31, 2010.
The Nominating Committee will present a slate of those who have been nominated and are willing to run for office to the body at the August 2, 2010 BACA monthly meeting.
Note: Nominations will be accepted from the floor on the date of the election.
