The Coalition for Voter Empowerment (of which the BACA is a coalition partner) is hosting a Meet the Candidates Forum on this coming Wednesday, August 25, 2010, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, in the auditorium of the Community Academy Public Charter School (formerly known as the Armstrong Adult Education Center), 1st and P Streets, NW. The forum will consist of a series of candidate interviews including Council Chair candidate Kwame Brown, At Large candidate Clark Ray, and Ward Five candidate Kenyan McDuffie, respectively.
Any or all of these folks could end up on the DC City Council, so we want as many folks as possible to come by to let these political aspirants know how much we care about our community and how we are counting on them to help us to meet our critical service needs.
