See this note and question last night to BACA from resident at 1st and P St NW. Anyone have any info?
I live at 1st and P and for the past half hour at least there has been a police van with flood lights outside. I also saw a couple of cruisers in the area. The spotlights are highlighting the area where Jamal Wilson was murdered earlier this month.
I called the 5th District Police Station and they told me I don’t live in the 5th District (which I do). Called a few other places that were of no real help. Your blog seems very on top of things and thought you might be interested or have some answers.

It’s the rotating light tower. It makes it’s way over here when individuals attempt to setup shop on the various corners. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mpd-5d/ shows an increase in O St activity, so this is probably in response to that.
The Unit Block of P isn’t the problem. The problems in the neighborhood stem from O Street, North Capital, and the 1st Block of Q.
Thank goodness the police care enough about misers and crime to do something. Close
