Christmas Trees at the Big bear Cafe – Starting Dec 4

Free Range Christmas Trees

These natural beauties are 100% pasture-raised with no hormones or antibiotics! Ok, but seriously, when the Big Bear Cafe approached me about bringing locally grown Christmas Trees into the District, I knew immediately to ask Pine Haven Farm, a family-owned and operated Christmas tree farm, about providing the trees. They are located in Newville, PA approximately ten miles from my own farm.

They grow Douglas Fir, Fraiser Fir and White Fir (also known as Concolor). Shane Conaway and his crew will be cutting fresh trees for me on Friday, December 3rd. They will be delivered to the Big Bear Cafe (1st & R Streets) on Saturday and Sunday, December 4th & 5th.

So, why buy a tree trucked in from the west or Canada that’s been cut for weeks when you can have a fresh, locally produced tree and support a family farm? Can’t you just smell the aroma of a fresh tree decked with garlands of popcorn and cranberries?
And the BEST part…a fresh, local tree isn’t going to cost you an arm & a leg. Trees will be priced as follows:

4′ to 5′ Douglas or White Fir $40
5′ to 6′ Douglas or White Fir $50
6′ to 7′ Douglas or White Fir $60
7′ to 8′ Douglas or White Fir $70
6′ to 7′ Fraiser Fir $75

TO GUARANTEE YOUR DESIRED SIZE & TYPE OF TREE, PLEASE EMAIL YOUR ORDER BEFORE NOON ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4TH.
