The Flower Power Garden Walk and Reception was a success. The Walk began atFloridaAvenueParkwith nearly 40 neighbors (including visitors fromArlington,VAand friends from Bloomingdale) taking place. Four groups of participants departed from the park and explored some beautiful gardens in the 2 mile walk.
The Reception that followed was in the beautify yard of our neighbor Laura Bowen. Though the reception was supposed to end at 6:30pm, our gracious hostess entertained until nearly 10pm. spending time with great neighbors made the time go fast.
The ballots will be counted next week to determine the best yards in each category. An update will also be provided on how much money was raised from this event. Stay tuned for the next two big events: National Night Out on August 2nd and the North Capitol Main Street Art Walk and Festival on August 6th.
