Any chance of getting someone from the city to talk about the dispensary law? Are they subject to a VA like liquor stores? What type of enforcement/accountability exists?
I found the city regs on it here: http://www.dcregs.dc.gov/Gateway/NoticeHome.aspx?NoticeID=967689 and it’s about 100 pages. Any lawyers care to interpret.
It looks like the total number of dispensaries to be located in DC is limited to 5. From the doh letter of intent, it looks like they are extending an invitation to over 40 individuals/groups to submit a final application after Sep 16.

The article does not specifically name David Guard of VentureForthLLC.
Since the greater neighborhood is now a potential home for a medical marijuana dispensary, it behooves us to keep abreast of the local press coverage on the topic.
