Guardian Angels joined Bates and Hanover Civic Association (aka Truxton Circle) in a community safety walk on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 8pm. The walk included areas with recent incidents of crimes such as the 1400 and 1500 blocks of N. Capitol Street, Florida Avenue, 100 and 200 blocks of Q St NW, unit block of O St NW and other areas.
Thank you John and the Guardian Angels for your presence and your support. You have helped demonstrate how every day citizens can unite and make our streets safer.
The next walk with the Guardian Angels is scheduled for Thursday, October 27th at 8pmat the corner of First and O St NW. We hope enough neighbors join us so that the groups may split in two so we may cover more ground.
Bates Area Civic Association Members, we will be resuming our regular Neighborhood Walks on Tuesday, October 25th at 7pm at the corner of P and First St NW. All that join will receive a pedometer (so you can measure your steps to better health and a pocket note pad. On Thursday we will join with the Guardian Angels.
We hope to have more individuals come out, bring their dogs, strollers and walking shoes. Together, we can make our community a safer one.
Thank you!!!
