Dear BACA members,
We have had a rash of recent violent crimes in our neighborhoods, especially in the areas around 4th and R, 200 and 100 block of Bates St NW. Home burglaries have also been on the rise. Please warn your neighbors of these incidents that have been taking place in the area and ask them to take necessary precautions. Some of the robberies at gun point have been by men in ski masks between the hours of 9pm and 11pm.
I have extended an invitation to MPD to attend our BACA meeting on Monday, February 6th at 7pm. As neighbors, we will also discuss strategies we can implement to improve our safety. Strategies will include resuming our neighborhood walking club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
