As spring looms on the horizon, roadways around the District are starting to show signs of wear and tear in the form of potholes. In response, the District’s Department of Transportation (DDOT) will soon once again launch its aggressive program to proactively make repairs: “Potholepalooza.”
“Even with our relatively mild winter, as the colder weather moves out and warmer weather moves in, potholes are beginning to appear on many of our roadways,” Evans said. “I hope residents will again take advantage of ‘Potholepalooza’ and report these problems to DDOT so that they can be repaired as quickly as possible.”
During the campaign, residents and commuters are encouraged to phone in (311), tweet, or email requests for pothole repairs. DDOT will work to repair identified potholes within 48 hours.
