GRADE.DC.GOV IS HERE!

The District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV) joins four other agencies in piloting the implementation of the Mayor’s Grade.dc.gov initiative on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Grade.dc.gov is a customer service feedback tool. It allows customers and residents to provide direct feedback, both positive and negative, to the District government online or via phone text message. For those customers with DMV related issues requiring resolution, we encourage you to continue to call 311 or submit an online service request at 311.dc.gov.

Customers can complete a survey on www.grade.dc.gov or text their feedback to DC DMV’s text phone number at 202-499-2486. You will receive an automated response prompting more feedback. There is also an option to tweet (@dcdmv) or use other social media to voice feedback online.

The program allows the government to post grades online and measure the quality of services provided over time. Additional information is available at www.grade.dc.gov.

ONLINE EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION

DC DMV has implemented an emergency contact information system for residents to voluntarily submit the name, address and telephone number for up to three people. The information provided to DC DMV will be available to law enforcement agencies and medical personnel in case of an emergency. Therefore, you should periodically, review and update your emergency contact information to keep it current.

To perform this online emergency contact information transaction, you must have a DC DMV driver license or identification card. This transaction cannot be performed in-person at a DC DMV location; it can only be done online.

Additional information about this new service is available in the online section of our website at www.dmv.dc.gov.
