Did you know that your neighborhood is adjacent to the
Historic LeDroit Park community and home of famous
African-American poet Paul Laurence Dunbar; and former
presidential candidate and DC Shadow Senator
Jesse Jackson; former DC mayor Walter Washington;
and many other prominent and history-making African-
Americans. Did you know that our community is the
center of population of the District of Columbia?
Come join ANC Commissioner Bradley Thomas and
Policy, Research Associate and local historian Jennifer
Ragins on a walking tour to get to know this neighborhood’s
rich history.
