DDOT Continues to Seek Input on Parking in the District
All Who Live, Work or Visit in the District Are Encouraged to Participate
Online Live Chat to be Held October 18
Final Parking Think Tank to be Held October 20
Online Survey Scheduled to Close October 31
(Washington, D.C.) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is reminding all who live, work or visit to provide input on parking in the District. DDOT is seeking comments and recommendations on a number of its current parking programs to gauge the state of parking, create a more efficient use of parking resources and shape future parking policies and programs.
The following opportunities and resources are available for the public to submit input and ask questions:
· Online Live Chat
DDOT in collaboration with Greater Greater Washington (GGW) is hosting an online live chat at 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 18. To participate visit Live Chat.
· Parking Think Tank
To date DDOT has held a series of five community conversations, called Parking Think Tanks, and will hold the final one from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 20 at Mt. Pleasant Library (Large Conference Room), 3160 16th Street NW.
· Online Survey
Comments may be submitted online through October 31, 2012 via the Parking Think Tank Survey. Aside from offering a platform for submitting comments this survey also offers participants the opportunity to comment on a variety of DDOT’s parking programs and takes an estimated five to ten minutes to complete.
Following the Parking Think Tank initiative, DDOT will host a public summit to report on the input received from the public; how the input may potentially shape the outcome of comprehensive curbside parking management plan; and the agency’s next steps. Additional information about this summit will be posted online at ddot.dc.gov/ParkingThinkTanks.
