Councilmember Tommy Wells, Chair of the Committee on Libraries Parks, Recreation, and Planning, has scheduled a public hearing on Bill 19-1016, the “Ward 5 Industrial Land Transformation Task Force Act of 2012”.
Bill 19-1016 would establish the Ward 5 Industrial Land Transformation Task Force to develop a strategic plan for the modernization and adaptive reuse of industrial land in Ward 5. As part of that development, the Task Force would conduct an analysis of existing conditions and develop a set of goals and recommendations, among other duties. The Task Force would be convened and facilitated by the Office of Planning and would submit this strategic plan to the Mayor and the Council by July 1, 2013.
The hearing will be held on Nov. 15, 2012 at 10:30am in Room 500. The public hearing notice and the bill are attached.
