Please advise our seniors, persons with disabilities, and family caregivers that the threat of Hurricane Sandy is very real and serious and has the potential of producing a severe impact on the District of Columbia. It is imperative that they are informed of the five Relief Centers that will be open and accessible to all starting at noon tomorrow, Monday, October 29, 2012. You are asked to contact 911 for any and all urgent or Life-Threatening Emergencies, and 311 or (202) 727-6161, the Homeland Security Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA) for non- urgent request for assistance or emergency services being offered on behalf of the city.
