How the Internet Can Benefit Older Americans — Wednesday, April 24, 2013

Good afternoon!

In celebration of Older Americans Month held each May, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) invites area Seniors, those who work with them and interested consumers, to attend a half-day workshop entitled “How the Internet Can Benefit Older Americans!” The workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the FCC’s Headquarters, located at 445 12th Street, SW, Washington, DC. The workshop will kick off at 9:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m., and light refreshments will be provided. The attached invitation provides full details.

The FCC would like to help Unleash the Power of Age by giving Seniors the opportunity to learn about the relevancy of computers in today’s world and to discover how quality of life can be greatly improved and enhanced with a high speed Internet connection (broadband). As you see from the agenda below, we have put together a fun, interesting and interactive program. Our panelists have years of experience working with the Senior community, and the technology to be demonstrated and on display is Senior-friendly. We hope area Seniors will bring their questions, curiosity and concerns and join us on Wednesday, April 24th.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this invitation with your friends and colleagues. Together we can Unleash the Power of Age!
