Sadly, many residents of our neighborhood missed the Kick Off Meeting that took place between the different communities (Truxton Circle, NW One, Ledroit Park, Bloomingdale and Eckington) with the Office of Planning and Economic Development and DDOT. This community engagement meeting was to solicit community input on the neighborhood redevelopment, preservation and economic investment options for our area.
If you are a resident that wishes to have input on this process, there will be more opportunities to participate, including meeting with the Office of Planning during some smaller community meetings (posted below). I hope that all of you take an active approach and become engaged in this process rather than complaining after the process is complete; the choice is yours.
