Temporary Off-Peak Lane Closures on New York Avenue NE on October 24-26, 2013
(Washington D.C.) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be implementing a series of temporary lane closures on New York Avenue NE, between South Dakota Avenue and the District/Maryland line. The temporary lane closures will be for restriping of the roadway to incorporate a lane shift of all lanes and setup barriers in order to construct a foundation for a dynamic message sign in the median.
Westbound New York Avenue NE
Thursday, October 24, 2013, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Eastbound New York Avenue NE
10 p.m. on Friday, October 25 to 7 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013
- Eastbound and Westbound New York Avenue NE
10 p.m. on Friday, October 25 to 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013
Some travel lanes will be open at all times for traffic to pass through this corridor. Temporary signs will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public in this area. DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel through the work zone.
All construction-related work and dates are subject to change, depending on weather, material and contractor availability or other unforeseen conditions.
