The 2014 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Certification Deadline is March 8th DOES Urges SYEP Youth to Attend Final Certification Event
WHAT/ WHO: The DC Department of Employment Services (DOES) will host its final eligibility certification event for Mayor Vincent C. Gray’s 2014 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). All District youth aged 14 to 21 who have successfully submitted an application to participate in the 2014 program, but have not submitted the required eligibility documentation, must attend.
WHEN: Saturday, March 8, 2014
10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
WHERE: DOES Headquarters, 4058 Minnesota Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20019 (Minnesota Avenue Metro – Orange Line)
BACKGROUND: The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is a locally funded initiative that provides six weeks of work experience and training for District residents aged 14 to 21. The program offers enriching and constructive summer work experiences through subsidized placements in private and government sectors.
