Greater Washington Urban League President and CEO George H. Lambert, Jr. joined District of Columbia People’s Counsel Sandra Mattavous-Frye to announce that the GWUL has received a significant financial contribution to its energy assistance program funding as a direct result of the Office of the People’s Counsel’s (OPC) advocacy.
“As the public advocate for utility ratepayers, I am pleased with the commitment that GWUL has shown to District residents. GWUL has been a welcome partner to OPC staff for several years, as together we have worked to deliver assistance to consumers,” said People’s Counsel Sandra Mattavous-Frye. “This latest partnership is just one more example of what public and private collaboration can achieve,” stated the People’s Counsel.
