I am the project manager working on this raze for the referenced address. Our ANC SMD recommended I reach out to BACA to also notify you of the upcoming demolition (I met with the Hanover Civic Association in July). Attached are raze permits for 1428 and 1430 which were filed May 2013 and March 2014, respectively – see chart below. Given the structural damage of both buildings we are very anxious to move the process forward. We were originally going to start the demolition work this week, however, at the request of the ANC we will hold off until Art All Night is over; we anticipate the work will begin Monday, September 29th. Just an FYI the raze sign for 1430 is posted on the building and not the fence because last summer the sign for 1428 were torn down and I did not want to run the risk of this happening again.

One other thing to note – we will be preserving as much of the masonry as possible with the hope we can use it again at this or another site in the future (timing for this site is TBD). Let me know if you have any questions.
