It was announced at the Monday, 06-01-2015, Bates Area Civic Association meeting that the Masjid Muhammad: The Nation’s Mosque at 1519 Islamic Way (4th St) NW was holding a community open house on Saturday, 06-06-2015. See the distributed flier below.  

Melvin Hines of DCity Smokehouse announced at the Monday, 06-01-2015, Bates Area Civic Association meeting that the DCity Smokehouse team plans to open a restaurant/tavern at the former Subway place at 1540 North Capitol Street NW. The name of the new business is Wicked Bloom. Below is the distributed sample draft menu for Wicked Bloom.
