HELLO NEIGHBORS!
On July 22, two men were physically assaulted while exiting their vehicle in the 1900 block of 3rd Street.
Some concerened neighbors have organized a rally and safety walk through Eckington to say no to violence and WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED!!
There will be a rally at Big Bear Cafe and then neighbors will walk down R street towards North Capitol then head in the direction of Lincoln Road toward T street. We will end where we began at Big Bear Cafe.
Please come out and support this event!

Representatives from Gays and Lesbians Opposing Violence (GLOV), the Gay and Lesbian Liaison Unit of the Metropolitan Police Department, DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence the Critical Incident Team will participate in the walk.__._,_._
Bates Area Civic Association 
Over 500 youth will assemble at the New York Avenue Playground on Saturday, August 11th to play basketball and receive trophies. It would be great if speakers could come down and express your concerns with violence. Also provide literature on violence prevention.
