5DCAC holding food drive

The Fifth District Police Citizens’ Advisory Council (5D CAC) is collecting food items in support of the DC Food Bank today, March 14, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Fifth District MPD Headquarters, 1805 Bladensburg Road, N.E. Participants are being asked to bring non-perishable food items and I am told that monetary donations for this cause will be accepted by the 5D CAC — P.O.   1. According to a 5DCAC email, this food drive collected 668 pounds of food for the DC Food Bank in just five hours.
