Come out and help beautify our neighborhood as we prepare for the Flower Power Garden Walk next month!

On June 6th, we will be outside starting at 9am, picking up litter, pulling weeds, and tidying up our blocks.

We’ll meet at 1st and P Sts, by the Armstrong School, to begin, but feel free to join in at any time as we try to cover the BACA area. We’ll make gloves and trash bags available. The mayor has apparently also dispatched a team to paint the park on 1st and Florida that day, so there will be lots going on to clean up our neighborhood.

And don’t forget to buy your tickets for the Garden Walk, June 13th from 3-5pm. Not only will you be able to cast your vote for the best properties, but you can join us at the reception following the walk and give us your ideas on what else might be done to beautify our neighborhood. Your $10 goes towards these future projects and is an excellent way to make a lasting contribution to our great neighborhood.
