I just met with and welcomed to Eckington Mr. Mien Sagib, owner of the New York Pizza restaurant opening at the corner of Florida Avenue and North Capitol Street N.E. (old KFC site) by the end of August.
It is a full service Italian restaurant with a variety of Italian favorites on the menu. I look forward to the grand opening. I’ll keep you informed.

Is this the same NY Pizza currently on Florida? if so, delicious pizza!
i don’t know of that one. There’s one on Penn Ave SE, near Potomac Ave Metro.
Oh no! Come on people, this looks horrible. Another low-grade, low-rate, pizza place? Where are the gourmet pizza places that have been promised for Bloomingdale? This place is one of those pizza, fries, wings, calamari, fish, crap crap crap, places. Is there a chef? NO!
We need to step up the hood into some nice, refined eating and drinking establishments…then we can all cheer.
this is great news. do they have restaurants in other areas? Is there another at Landmark mall in Alexandria (next to Arby’s)?
