Neighbors, many thanks to those of you put requests on line, called our civic leaders, and sent emails requesting attention to our streets. Below are the responses from Mayor Fenty’s office as well as from our Council Member.

Good Afternoon all,
As Lisa just stated, bobcats are coming to your area. By no means have we intentionally ignored you, our crews have been working around the clock to get to all of the city streets. Due to the fact that most of the city streets in these areas are more narrow, special equipment such as the bob cat will be most effective to get the job done, while ensuring the safety of our drivers and your cars. The whole district government including the Mayor’s office have been working on the snow around the clock so please excuse our delayed response. We cannot thank you enough for your patience as the city deals with these record totals of snow.
Best Regards,
Richard Dane Norwood

RE: [MPD-5D] Fastest Way to Report Streets Needing to be Plowed Thomas, Harry (COUNCIL) to you and and 62 others –
I have been following up on these concerns please continue to copy me so that I can monitor progress and conditions. Just completed complete ward tour and my staff are following up on areas of concern.
Suggestion….should the city be looking for a place to dump snow that is moved in our neighborhood…dump it in the J F Cook School yard….or the city lot at the corner of North Capitol and Bates
