I’m emailing you in hopes to reaching out to the people who know the neiborhood and to introduce you to DC’s newest style destination, Toucan Boutique. We started as an online store last year and have just opened up our first location at 1911 9th Street NW.
Toucan focuses on Brazilian fashion, emerging designers and local artists. A lot of our items from Brazil are one-of-a-kind pieces, with tropical inspired prints or fabrics from sustainable sources. We’re also excited about young American brands like Super Lucky Cat (they recycle fabrics) and we are proud to support DC artists. Right now we have a series of messenger bags by Tim “Con” Conlon and jewelry and custom designed shoes by Joelle Nicolette.
Because we don’t want people to be cooped up at home just because the weather is bad, we’re offering a 10%off discount on rainy days and because we like to meet new people, we will be hosting parties from 6-9pm every third Thursday of the month with live music and discounts for everyone!
