The surplus declaration process is an essential piece of the overall re-development process for District-owned real estate in order to initiate development and progress directly within your community. Pursuant to authority outlined in D.C. Code 10-801, it is our obligation to provide a surplus determination to the City Council that reflects the best interests of the District and its residents. We believe it to be both essential and critical to include direct input from the community regarding the surplus declaration. Come and provide us your community input.

  1. I was unable to attend due to one of my social workers having been involved in an accident. If anyone has a recap or a copy of the RFP, I would love to make a copy of it. Thank you.

  2. Joyce was attending, and also I asked that ANC5c02 Commissioner Sylvia Pinkney give me an update from the meeting.

  3. The notice was too short to attend this meeting at Dunbar. The concensus of the residentts of the Unit block of O Street where M M Washington is located is to support Senior Housing. The concern is for the Developer to include 24 hour guard service in the building. At the Hanover Area Civic Association meeting held on the 3rd Thursday in June. the developer came out and made a presentation. The continued concern is that the developer show the community a plan that addresses safety for the seniors and how the community space will be utilized by the community.
