To Host Candidates’ Forums for the 2010 Primary Election
For Mayor, Council Chair, At Large Council member, and Ward 5 Councilmember

Washington, D.C. – Premier Community Development Corporation (PCDC) is sponsoring candidates’ forums on June 17th and July 13th. The forums will feature candidates seeking office in the Primary Election.

Bethesda Baptist Church Fellowship Hall

Council Chair: 7:00 to 8:00
Ward 5 Council: 8:00 to 9:00

Mayor and At Large Council Candidates’ Forums

Only candidates that have filed their petitions by July 7th and are still in the running for these offices will be permitted to participate in the forums.

At Large Council: 7:00 to 8:00
Mayor: 8:00 to 9:00

Format
A moderator will ask questions of the candidates. Members of the audience will be able to submit questions on index cards.

“Rapid Fire” Segment

For about ten minutes or so, candidates quickly will be asked questions on issues where answers can only be “Yes” or “No”. A sample of this technique can be viewed on the “McLaughlin Show” where the host follows this format for a few minutes of the show.
