Neighbor Sylvia on this block as taken up the cause of getting permit parking on 3rd St. She circulated a petition and got a majority of residents to sign. She informed me today that the measure has been approved and they tell her signs will go up in a few weeks. She says that she was able to go to the DMV now and get a Ward 5 parking sticker. Once these signs go into effect, they will begin ticketing immediately. They’ll probably be delayed in posting the signs, but please be proactive so as to avoid being ticketed after they do put up the signs.

Can someone note which DMV office the RPP pass was sold at? I don’t expect to get the same clerk, but I would like to use the same DMV office. The DMV website today did not list the 1500 block of 3rd st NW as a Permited block (yet).

Jon, it’s the one on M st in SW. Sylvia said the woman looked it up in the system and she had no problem.
