Dear Friends and Neighbors,
First, please accept our apologies for not announcing this earlier. As you all know, Bloomingdale has been long waiting and teased with news about a sit down eatery, and we did not want to add more to the tease. We wanted to be sure and be as close as possible to this reality.
Originally, Rustik Tavern was going to open in a different location, but some miscommunications and surprises forced us to abandon the idea. Soon after we partnered with Aleks Duni, owner of Baraki, and since May we have been working on building out the location. We are pleased to inform that construction has nearly finished and we will be seeking our inspections from the city soon. As much as we would like to set a specific date for our opening, we are reluctant do so because of all the surprises we are so used to encounter. All we can say is – It may just be sooner than you think!
Doors will be open on Saturday, August 7th, during the art + music festival, for anyone who would like to come in to take a look, ask questions or just say hi. We look forward to meeting all and everyone of you.
