  1. Looks like the agenda for this Monday’s BACA meeting has some excellent topics and guest speakers.

Perhaps someone could clarify what “elected officials to be ranked by Civic Association at election time based on their participation and support of BACA community” means. Thanks!

  2. Scott, excellent question. We will disuss the ranking during our BACA meeting. Some of the elements we will score is elected official’s engament and attendance to our meeting. Elected officials involvement in community issues, elected officials responsiveness and follow through. It will no longer be acceptable for some elected officials to engage our community only during campaign season and ignore us the rest of the time. Thanks.

  3. Thanks for your reply. Will the elected officials get ranked at each nonthly BACA meeting? Or will the ranking be quarterly, annually or perhaps on an as-requested basis?

Will the rankings be placed on the BACA website?

Will the rankings be used to determine in which order elected officials invited to speak at future BACA meetings are placed on the meeting agenda, for example?

  4. Scott, the score card will be at election times. The scoring is to determine who to support. These elected officials will have a standing invitation to all our civic association meetings. Each elected official will receive a copy of the score card in November.
