Join us as we celebrate! North Capitol Main Street is coordinating a Grand Opening event at just opened Rustik Tavern on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Our small business and main street champions – Ward 5 Councilmember Harry Thomas Jr. & At-Large Councilmember Kwame Brown are coming to congratulate the newest entrepreneur in our neighborhood. Owner Diton Pashaj has already exceeded expectations for a well-liked sit-down pizza tavern. .
There will be a special buffet served during the event featuring salads, pizzas and paella (cooked outdoors) for $15. Rustik`s civic minded owners have already become a dues paying members of NCMS and are donating the proceeds from the opening celebration to service corridor projects. I encourage folk in the Bates Area to attend this event. Rustik Tavern is a great addition to the community. Looking forward to the day when something of this type opens of North Capitol Street between Florida and New York Avenues. If we work together we can make it happen!!! Maybe the suggestion expressed at the last Civic Association meeting that we come together as a group to open a coffee shop in the area could be the beginning. The idea was met with great deal of enthusiasm….even with one attendee offering to do all of the baking. LET’S DO IT….
Anyone know how much the owner of Steve’s will sell for 😉
